Coby & Erika's Hermann Park Engagement Session | Austin Wedding Photographer

How We Connected

I first met Erika back in May of 2017. I was shooting The Big Pop Up, a taste tasting event hosted by Big Brothers, Big Sisters of Houston. I was introduced to Erika upon arriving and proceeded to shoot the event. A few weeks later I was excited to connect with her about shooting her wedding this April.

The Session

Our session together was literally jokes, laughs and almost having to destroy the 548 other photographers that were at Hermann Park (inside joke) the day we decided to shoot. It was packed with people. But one thing I love about engagement sessions is that it really is easy to forget about everything and everyone when you're with the right person. Regardless of location or circumstance, when you focus on the right thing, great moments happen.

Right at sunset we decided to find a cozy spot overlooking the Houston skyline for one final shot. The best part of the entire day you ask? Dinner at Max's wine dive where the fried chicken is to die for! Such a great city. Such a GREAT couple. I cannot wait to shoot their wedding in just a few short months.

Travion & Stephanie's Tower of The America's Engagement Session | San Antonio

This engagement session almost didn't happen which would have been a bummer. A storm was on the forecast that would have shut down any chance of shooting but luckily we were able to squeeze in a session right before the rain hit.

Travion and Stephanie wanted to spend time at the Tower of The Americas for their engagement session and they couldn't have picked a better place. This was my first time visiting this popular site, let alone shooting and it had so many great areas to choose from including several waterfalls, bridges and open areas. We spent some time exploring together and we were to walk away with some great memories.

The best part? A group of people walked over and started chanting....."Kiss her, kiss her, kiss her!" Definitely the highlight of the day! lol.

I can't wait to capture their wedding later this year in September!

Mark & Marisa's Downtown Corpus Christi Engagement Session

I was happy when I connected with Marisa and Mark a few weeks ago and we began to plan their engagement session. We chose to spend some time downtown first where we explored a small area right by the sea wall. After we captured some great moments, we took a quick cruise down the highway and ended up finding the perfect spot at Whitecap Beach on North Padre Island.

While together it was great learning more about how Mark and Marisa met. The thing I love most about this session is how often Marisa would smile when next to Mark. They are perfect together! As always, I. Love. What. I. Do.
